Located in Northern Central Massachusetts near the New Hampshire border, Warwick MA is home to one of the largest and most beautiful spots for equine camping in New England.  The property on Wendell Road is secluded and quiet; a perfect getaway.  With direct access to five separate state forests and trail systems, you will never run out of trail to ride.  And when you return from your ride, enjoy swimming in our pool-or take your horse in our pond!  The campground books reservations from April to October, with reservations filling up months in advance.

About the Campground

The Wagon Wheel Campground is in the process of converting to a high-end horse camping destination. The property has 104 campsites, free WiFi, kayak rentals, two bath houses, and on-site laundry facilities. We also have a general store for your convenience and a recreation hall.

There are five separate state forest trail systems that you can access from the property. Trails vary in degrees of difficulty-but most of the trails have excellent footing and are suitable for all levels of horse and rider.

Each campsite offers two covered 10' x 10' pens, full camping hookups and water for the horses. After a day of riding, cool off your horse in our pond or one of the two running brooks right on the campground! Seasonal campsite rentals are available, and we also offer campers for rent onsite.
